ABOUT US

After taking an early retirement from the corporate world, Karen started in the basement of her house in 2003 with one single-head embroidery machine and family member Sue and Sue’s best friend Liz providing personalized sweatshirts and blankets for friends and family.  After a few months, we moved to a physical store in the Alstan Mall in Monroeville, where we still are today.  We added a second embroidery machine and focused our business providing embroidered apparel, towels, blankets and other decorated items to the public.  As our business grew, we added two more single-head embroidery machines.  As word of ,mouth about our business spread, we started to get larger orders and small businesses in the area requesting logo embroidery.  Local sports teams and clubs started requesting decorated spiritwear for event and holiday sales and we added heat transfers and appliqué.  As the small business orders grew in number and size of order, we added a 4-head embroidery machine to handle the large orders.  Today, our customers are a mix of small to mid-size businesses, teams, clubs and organizations as well as individual consumers that come in to order personalized gifts for babies, weddings, holidays, grandma, etc.  Many of our customers are like family as over the years we provided embroidery for many life events – from weddings, baby blankets, school backpacks, retirement blankets, and adding names to grandma shirts for each new grandchild.

OUR TEAM

Liz

LIZ

Liz has been a valued member of our team since we started.  She had several years of retail experience before joining our team. Liz loves the creativity of  editing stock designs to create the perfect design for that special occasion.  She is the master of the IOline cutter to create appliqué and glitter designs that are popular with the teams.  “Miss Liz”, as the biker clubs call her, is expert at embroidering on leather jackets, something most embroiderers won’t  do.

Sue

SUE

Sue has been a valued member of our team since we started.  She had several years of retail experience before joining our team.  Sue is the expert at large orders and can make the 4-head embroidery machine hum all day long.  She is “the hat lady,” so if you are looking for a large hat order, you will want to make sure you give her a call.

Allison

ALLISON

Allison is the newest member of our team.  Allison spent several years in the retail and financial industries before taking time off to focus on family.  She recently joined our team and has been a valuable asset in helping our transition to our new point of sale system. Allison is responsible for cleanup, quality control, and packaging to ensure your products meet our standards before you pick them up.

Karen

KAREN

Karen is the owner of Let’s Get Personal.  After many years as a workaholic in management at a large manufacturing company, she took an early retirement.  A few months into retirement, she purchased an embroidery machine as a hobby and a part-time small business.  As requests for embroidery grew from friends and family to acquaintances and referrals, Sue and Liz joined Karen to service customers.  A few months later we moved into the current store.  Liz and Sue run the day-to-day operations at the store.  Karen handles all the back office and administrative aspects of the store, so you won’t see her in the store, but she is involved daily to make sure our team has what they need to provide great service to our customers.
